Session Description

Wondering if registration is right for your organization? If you are an existing non-profit and are considering becoming a registered charity, this workshop will help you to focus on the issues and steps required. It will provide an overview of the options available and covers general legal issues on becoming a registered charity such as:

·         advantages and disadvantages

·         basics of gaining registered charity status with the Canada Revenue Agency

·         factors that will prevent an organization from becoming a registered charity and;

·         resources available to assist you
